Miss Cleo has a very reasonable priced Tarot Deck you may enjoy having in your Tarot Collection.
These cards follow the Rider-Waite system. They have an Egyptian Theme. I think they’re great for beginners or those who aren’t quite sure if they want to learn how to read Tarot cards.
I find it a bit disturbing that this Tarot deck has a description including: “Fun novelty gag, party favor.” I’m all for party favors and I agree this is a fun novelty item … but “gag”??!! This makes me wonder about other Tarot decks and whether they would be considered “gag” as well …
I do have a sense of humor, but not at the expense of others. I’m aware of who she is and some of the controversy around her readings … but would this be a “gag” gift or a “novelty item”? For the price I can understand they would make wonderful “party favors” … and they can be used and passed around however you wish … And your thoughts and feelings about Miss Cleo and Tarot are your own … I just found it quite odd to be considered a “gag” gift …

Lately I’ve been delving into Tarot of Haunted House. The whole concept intrigues me I find it interesting how the mansion and the Higher Arcana plays a major role in this deck … along with the Minor Arcana and how this relates to my life and the lives of others. I suppose I like this deck so much because I’m fascinated by haunted houses and the spirits that still may be around causing all kinds of disturbances and trouble …
What does this have to do with Miss Cleo’s Tarot Card Power Deck?
Probably nothing, other than it is necessary to check out a number of different Tarot decks and see which ones interest you.
For me, it has to do with the style of the Tarot cards and if I’d use them regularly. It is a matter of feeling a connection to the cards. I’m into ghost stories so Tarot of Haunted House and Ghost Tarot would interest me.
For other Tarot decks I’ve been drawn by the name or the artwork. I’m sure other factors played a part. I just know I’m into the “story” the Tarot cards tell …
