This was a major undertaking … Good grief! There are 78 Tarot Cards to a deck … Each one not only has a specific meaning, but depending upon the placement in the reading the card could mean something else entirely … also in association with other cards … The whole idea was to have a smooth comprehensive reading … not something choppy and of isolated pieces …
I found it best to bring out my cards regularly and to draw three cards … sometimes without asking a specific question … Just to see if I could weave some sense into these three cards … a story of sorts ..
Yes, I spent a lot of time learning the cards and in associationn with the suit … I would check out the guidebook as well as read intuitively … It was more important for Tarot to make sense to me rather than following a specific course of study …

I’m probably sounding like a nut … but it seems as though your Tarot cards do become like an old friend.
We turn to them when we may be confused or befuddled over a situation … There are cards in the deck that make us laugh … cry … think … and perhaps even ponder alternatives … We do develop a personal relationship with our Tarot Decks …
At times we may find a Tarot Deck we purchased as not being one we use much at all … We may keep it in our collection … but it’s not our “go to” deck … I’m finding that to be true for me …. But I’m still learning and for me it is best to stay with one Tarot Deck. You may decide this is true for you … or you need more variety …
It’s important to do what is best for you … with your own learning style.

There are so very many choices for you to make.
Just find something that you enjoy … I think witch’s are cool with their cats and riding around on brooms … Yet mermaids are kind of cool … There are ghosts … Maybe something fururistic … or something old … nature … Perhaps a fairy tale … or fairies … I’m sure you’ll find just the right Tarot Deck for you.
