I was first drawn to The Hermetic Tarot because it was so different from the other Tarot Card Decks on the market — plus it was a reissue to celebrate its historical and artistic significance.
I’m very much drawn to the mystery … the symbolism … the phrase “Secret Order of the Golden Dawn” with its astrological, angelic, geomantic, numerical and kabbalistic attributes.
I’m intrigued by Godfrey Dowson’s black and white designs for all 78 Tarot cards.
I was also quite interested in the 70-page instructional booklet with an introduction by Stuart R. Kaplan and the card meanings explained by Godfrey Dowson. Included is a chart of the elemental and astrological symbols along with a diagram of the 10 spheres and 22 Hebrew Letters of the 22 Paths of the Tree of Life.
The Hermetic Tarot Deck may be more of historical signifance to me than in actually using it for readings. I’m very much in learning as much as possible about the Tarot and everything it represents.
This is definitely a departure from the more whimsical Tarot Decks that excite me and adorn my bookshelf.

I wanted to find a video that would shed some light on The Hermetic Tarot Deck and their historical significance. Also the similarity to the Toth Tarot Deck.
It does take us a bit into the occult ramifications of this deck and Tarot generally.
I do find this all quite interesting and a bit fascinating.

It seems the more I’m delving into Tarot, the more I’m learning how my initial priorities have changed in only the short time I’ve been here at MysticalKey.com It’s interesting how an interest can grow in a very short span of time — as has my interest in all things Tarot and Mystical …
I still like what I like and am drawn to a particular style of Tarot Cards to purchase. I suppose as I mature in my quest for knowledge that may change over time.
I do thank you for stopping by!
