When I learn of a new Tarot Deck with the words: antique, ventage, retro, guilded . . . my curiosity is peeked. Tarot is an ancient art — going back to the Egyptians . . . I’m also interested in the witch decks . . . Those caught my attention when I started this website and my personal Tarot Deck collection. I also wanted something different and unique — perhaps relatable or just whimsical. My Tarot Journey was a personal one of learning something new.
I will now get on topic and introduce the video to walk us through The Antique Anatomy Tarot Kit published September 10, 2019 by Abrams Noterie. I like to see what I’m getting before I place an order . . . I’m sure you feel the same.
This deck does address anatomy — bones, muscle, etc. All the stuff of us. I think the cards are very well done. The guidebook is good as well. Let’s get into the nitty-gritty of this deck from the publisher’s perspective.
“Natural history meets spirituality in The Antique Anatomy Tarot, a deluxe boxed set of cards and guidebook by Claire Goodchild, owner of the design studio Black and the Moon. The foil-stamped keepsake box contains a 78-card tarot deck and an accompanying guidebook. The cards, which feature illustrations of vintage anatomical drawings collaged with plants and flowers, represent a fresh and creative interpretation of the tarot archetypes.”
I love a matt finish as opposed to a glossy one — just a personal preference. The box is nice. I’m paying more attention to the boxing lately for some reason — not that an unattractive box would prevent me from purchasing a deck I want . . . or great packaging would urge me to purchase a deck I have no interest in purchasing . . . The cardstock is nice. I don’t ruffle shuffle my Tarot decks . . . Just not my thing . . . But everyone does their own thing . . .
This is truly a nice Tarot Deck. I’m not into the medical field at all . . . but I believe for those who are, this is an excellent deck for them. Or for medical intuitives . . . And those who are comfortable with anatomy. It’s just not my thing . . . but the cards are lovely.

I know at the end of each of my posts I have selections for you. I just thought I’d include a few that you may find interesting. You can click the image to learn more about that particular deck.
I’m always interested in new and different Tarot decks. The ones pictured above may be in future reviews. I can spend hours looking at Tarot decks. I have my own collection . . . which seems to be growing, slowly . . . I would imagine the selection of Tarot decks is as important to you as they are to me. You want to purchase a deck you’re going to use. One that others will find meaningful and interesting . . . as well as the reading they receive.
I am interested in what you look for in a Tarot Deck. Perhaps it is difficult to describe. You just know it when you see it. I’m kind of like that!
Thanks for stopping by!
